The Sanawar Inter-School Military Literature Festival 2026 Was Held At The Lawrence School, Sanawar On 16–17 April 2026. The Festival Commenced With A Wreath-laying Ceremony In Honour Of Lt. Arun Khetrapal, Followed By A Prayer, Inspiring Addresses By Chief Guest Lt. Gen. M. S. Shergill And Headmaster Mr. Himmat Singh Dhillon, And The Release Of The School Magazine, The Sanawarian.

Students Attended Insightful Sessions By Distinguished Military Leaders On National Security, The Situation In Jammu & Kashmir, And The Impact Of Middle East Conflicts On India. A Special Clarion Call Session Highlighted The Role, Courage And Sacrifices Of The Indian Armed Forces.

The Festival Featured An Inter-School Poetry Composition Contest On The Theme 'Sacrifice And Bravery Of Indian Soldiers', In Which Sonal Gupta (Springdale Sr. School, Amritsar) Secured First Place, Followed By Aviral Kaurav (RIMC, Dehradun) And Kainaat Jakhar (The Lawrence School, Sanawar).

Another Highlight Was Legacy Of Battlefield Bravery Of Sanawar, Celebrating The Achievements Of Sanawar's Distinguished War Heroes. The Basantar Memorial Inter-School Declamation Contest Witnessed Participation From Ten Schools, With Manasvi Badola Of The Lawrence School, Sanawar Winning First Prize.

The Festival Concluded With An Inspiring Address By Chief Guest Lt. Gen. T. S. Shergill. The Lawrence School, Sanawar Won The Overall Championship, While The Running Trophy Was Ceremonially Handed Over To YPS, Mohali. An Interactive OS Army Officers Samvaad Further Motivated Senior Students.

Overall, The Festival Proved To Be An Enriching And Inspiring Celebration Of Military History, Patriotism And Literary Excellence.
