Literature Is The Mirror Of Society. It Provides Wings To Our Imagination, Creativity And Expression To Ideas. Keeping The Literary Spirit High, The Lawrence School, Sanawar Organized The Sixth Edition Of The Virtual Lit Fest On 15th And 16th September In Which 17 Schools And More Than 120 Students Participated In Different Events From India And Abroad. The Theme Of This Year’s Sanawar Lit Fest Was “Our Glorious Nation India At 75.” Events Like Character Monologue, Storytelling, Book Critique And Poetry Composition And Recitation Enthralled The Audience. The Performances Of The Participants Were Appreciated By One And All.

The Sanawar Lit Fest Was Graced By Multi-faceted Jury Members Comprising Ms Pooja Bedi, OS, An Actor, Newspaper Columnist And Talk Show Host; Mr Rahat Mahajan, An OS And A Renowned Filmmaker; Mr. Siddharth Chauhan, Youngest And The First Independent Filmmaker From Himachal Pradesh; Dr. Purnima Chauhan Retd. IAS Officer; Mrs. Pooja Marwah, An Author And CEO At CRY; Imtiaz Anees,  OS, An Author, A Trained Equestrian, Dr. Manjiri Prabhu, An Author, Curator And Director Of International Literary Festivals, Mr. Raaja Bhasin, A Famous Author And Ms Jyotsna Mohan, OS, An Author, Media Consultant And Columnist.

An Hour Long Calligraphy Workshop Was Thoroughly Enjoyed By The Students Of Grades V And VI. The Resource Person For The Workshop Was Our Own Dr. Parveen Gautam.

The Chief Guest For The Sixth Edition Of The Sanawar Lit Fest Was Mr. Rahul Singh, A Distinguished Journalist, A Famous Author And An Active Member Of An NGO Which Supports Women Empowerment. He Lauded The Performances Of The Participants And Commended The Lawrence School, Sanawar For Organizing The Lit Fest.  Eminent Personalities Like Mr. Shashi Tharoor, A Member Of Parliament And Distinguished Author Congratulated The Lawrence School, Sanawar For Organizing The Lit Fest. Mr. Siddharth Kak, An OS And A Famous Producer, Mr. Ronit Roy, An Eminent Actor Also Conveyed Their Good Wishes For The Sanawar Lit Fest. Headmaster, Mr. Himmat Singh Dhillon, Appreciated The Lively Performances Of The Students And Complemented Them For Their Zeal And Efforts.

Results Of The Different Events Were As Follows: In Poetry Composition And Recitation Yashika Yadav And Anoushka Mukherjee Of The Lawrence School Sanawar Bagged The Third Position. In Character Monologue Veer Devgan And Keerat Sandhu Bagged The Third And Second Consolation Prize Respectively. In Storytelling Aayan Gautam Of The Lawrence School, Sanawar Got The First Position Whereas Arjun Chopra Secured The Second Consolation Prize. In Book Critique,Pavya Singh And Puru Manjrey Secured The Third Position. All In All The Sixth Edition Of The Sanawar Lit Fest Was A Great Success.
