Our debating team comprising of Harshit
Poddar and Mannat Tipnis participated in the 21st All
India Inter School W.C. Kashyap Memorial English Debate
held at Pestle Weed College, Dehradun on 12th May, 2009.
Both the speakers debated very very well and helped the
school in winning the first position among fourteen
participating schools. The second position was won by the
host school. Harshit Poddar was adjudged as the best
speaker. Their topic of debate was -
"Strong Opposition: A must for
effective functioning of Parliamentry Democracy."
Both our speakers were highly
appreciated and commended for being the youngest among all
the participants. Besides winning the overall trophy they
were also awarded separate shields and cash prizes worth
Rs.10000/- and Rs 3000/- respectively
